Felix Nobis' translation of Beowulf, was published by Bradshaw Books in 2002. As a one-person show, the production toured through Europe, America and Australia, twice selling out at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and attracting critical acclaim. In 2007, the translation was adapted to radio and broadcast on the ABC Radio National Poetica program (rpt 2009) and was staged by the Dog Theatre's as part of the one person show series "All Excellent Men" for the 2009 Melbourne Fringe.

Felix Nobis

Felix Nobis is a poet, playwright and actor. He holds an MA in Old and Middle English from University College Cork (Ireland), and is completing his PhD in Medieval Storytelling at Monash University, where he also teaches.

As an actor, Felix is well known for his roles in the ABC series “Janus” and “MDA”. He has also appeared with Sydney Theatre Co. Belvoir St Theatre Co., and Red Stitch. In 2007 Felix was an Affiliate Writer with Melbourne Theatre Company, and is currently under commission as a playwright with that theatre company.

In 2000, Felix produced a translation of “Beowulf”, which was published by Bradshaw Books in 2002.
